Title:
Thriving
On Change
(Change
Management for Working People) Change
can be difficult for many of us, particularly when it is as rapid and
dramatic as it is in today’s world.
It can be very stressful, and it can make it difficult for us to
function normally, both at home and at work.
That’s the bad news. The
good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way.
Changing times can also be times of great opportunity, and
personal and professional growth if we know how to handle them. This
one-day workshop was designed to help you understand change and deal
with it constructively. You’ll
learn that you have a choice in how change affects you, and you’ll
learn how to take advantage of all the change in your life and make it
work for you. Workshop
Overview Section 1 – Understanding Change In
this section we discuss change, what causes it, and the different ways
it affects us. We also look at how people view change and why they often
react to it negatively. The
last part of section one examines how paradigms, both personal and
organizational, make it difficult to see alternatives to the status quo. Section 2 – In
section two you’ll learn that change does not have to be traumatic,
and in fact, can be very motivating if it is understood and embraced.
You’ll learn that change follows a predictable pattern, and
that simply understanding the pattern relieves much of the stress that
change usually causes. You’ll
also learn that emotion is a normal part of change, and that the
emotions you experience, whether positive or negative, are caused not by
the change, but by their attitude toward it.
Section
3 – Planning For Change In
the last section you’ll look at the changes you are dealing with in
your life and develop a change plan for how you are going to deal with
it in ways that benefit you.
